- Department: Housing and Community Development

Under the general direction of the assistant chief counsel, the attorney independently provides legal advice and performs the more complex and sensitive legal assignments in connection with the variety of unique housing programs administered by the department’s divisions.
These include the Codes and Standards Division, Federal Division of Financial Assistance, State Division of Financial Assistance and Housing Policy Development Division.
This position is eligible for hybrid telework and may be eligible for full-time remote work in some circumstances

Classification and hiring lead | Permanent, full time
Department: Franchise Tax Board
Salary: $6,963 to $8,650 per month
The classification and hiring lead oversees a team of analysts doing various work on assignments related to classification and compensation.
Duties include resolving complex and sensitive personnel issues; developing department procedures and guidelines and facilitating those guidelines to the team.
This position is eligible for remote work within California but requires a minimum of two days in the office per week.

The trainer assists in the planning, design, development, delivery and evaluation of training as described in the department’s training plan.

This position is at the Emerald Tower on Capitol Mall in Sacramento, and is eligible for hybrid telework.

Under the direction of the real assets investment director, the associate investment manager ensures appropriate processes, controls, systems and risk management are in place to implement investment strategies.
Duties include evaluating and exercising judgment in making recommendations to senior management and the Real Assets Investment Committee.

Department: Industrial Relations

The labor compliance analyst assists hearing officers in performing the less complex assignments related to the wage claim adjudication process.
The analyst interprets and applies the rules and regulations of the Industrial Welfare Commission Orders and the California Labor Code to assess violations on liable employers in wage claim processing.
Other duties include enforcement of wage and hour laws in the Wage Claim Adjudication program in accordance with the mission of the Labor Commissioner’s Office.

Clinical social worker | Permanent, full time
Department: Correctional Health Care Services
Salary: $8,425 to $10,261 per month
The clinical telesocial worker conducts assessments of inmates within California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation through videoconferencing.
The social worker summarizes case information to use in diagnosis, treatment and dispositional release, and may diagnose and/or collaborate in the formulation of a diagnosis.
The social worker also develops, monitors and modifies treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Other duties include providing assessments, group therapy and collateral conferences; documenting and evaluating patients’ progress in treatment, and assisting with coordinating referrals and placements.
This position is eligible for hybrid telework, but in-person travel is required when needed.

Grants consultant | Permanent, full time
Department: Commission on Teacher Credentialing
Salary: $7,997 to $10,010 per month
The grant consultant provides oversight of the implementation of state-funded teacher residency, classified school employee teacher credentialing and other grant programs administered by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, as well as any associated subgrant process within these grant programs.
In addition, the grant consultant helps with posting requests for applications; collecting applications; assisting the administrator in reviewing applications and assuring that grantees are carrying out the provisions of their funded applications on time and on budget.
The Commission on Teacher Credentialing headquarters is in Sacramento. However, an alternate work location outside of Sacramento will be considered.
This is a hybrid position that’s eligible for telework.
