Dead body found on shoulder of Highway 99 in Sacramento County, CHP says
Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead Saturday afternoon on the shoulder of Highway 99 in Sacramento County.
The body was found on the shoulder of northbound Highway 99, just north of the Twin Cities Road exit near Galt, the California Highway Patrol’s South Sacramento office said in a social media post just before 4 p.m.
CHP officials said to expect “possible traffic impacts” as authorities investigate, but no lane closures were reported by the CHP or Caltrans as of 4:15 p.m.
