Six retail entities shutter their doors in the Sacramento area

This collection of stories highlights the recent closures of six major retail and hospitality businesses in Sacramento.

The Sunrise Mall lost its Hot Topic store, marking another departure from that shopping center after Macy’s also shut down. At Home, the home décor and furniture chain, closed its only Sacramento location at Delta Shores due to bankruptcy.

Blue Diamond began shutting down its historic midtown plant, impacting around 600 jobs. The long-running 524 Mexican Restaurant and Cantina in South Natomas closed its doors after more than fifty years, citing financial struggles. Track 7 Brewing Co. abruptly ended operations at both its Curtis Park and Natomas locations. Twin Peaks, a well-known sports bar, also ceased operations in Arden Arcade, ending the chain’s presence in California.
