New Greek restaurant offers ‘luxurious dining experience’ in Roseville
A new Greek restaurant, Mati Modern Greek Cuisine, opened its doors last month in Roseville, serving moussaka, souvlaki and high class cocktails inspired by Greek botanicals.
The restaurant is located at 3003 Douglas Blvd. and prides itself on its “fresh and healthy cuisine,” according to its website. Mati offers a variety of Greek cuisine, wine and craft beer.
The restaurant occupies the former home of Pete’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, which closed after eight years in October.
Bulent Ozel and business partners Sio Ozdogan and Gizem Aka opened the restaurant in February, with the goal of introducing visitors to “real Greek food,” according to Abridged.
Mati said on its website it purchases its ingredients from local markets and sources its wine from Mediterranean vineyards to provide a “luxurious dining experience.”
Mati’s owners also touted its restaurant interior, writing that upon the moment of arrival, guests will be “welcomed into a striking space defined by soaring ceilings, sophisticated design, and an ambiance that is both grand and warmly inviting,” according to its OpenTable page.
“Step inside and feel the Mediterranean warmth,” its owners wrote. “From the soft glow of ambient lighting to the rich textures of our interiors, every detail has been curated to transport you to the shores of the Aegean.”
Mati Modern Greek Cuisine is open on Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
