Three Placer County Walmart stores are set to be remodeled this year as part of a nationwide effort by Walmart to update its stores.

Stores in Lincoln, Rocklin and Roseville will receive upgrades to store layouts, technology and services. The company also plans to expand services like the pharmacy delivery for Walmart+ members, update Vision Centers and use mobile app features to help customers in the store.

The remodels will take place at 225 Lincoln Blvd. in Lincoln, 5605 Pacific St. in Rocklin and 900 Pleasant Grove Blvd. in Roseville.

The company said the project is part of a plan to upgrade 56 stores in California and about 650 stores nationwide.

Jay Cordray, senior vice president of the West Business Unit for Walmart, said the upgrades are part of the company’s investment in its stores.

“We’re continuing to invest in California with a focus on how we can better serve communities across the state,” he said. “By modernizing our stores, we’re making everyday shopping more convenient and creating a more connected experience, while empowering our associates to better support the evolving needs of our customers.”
