Missing at-risk Yuba City man found, arrested on suspicion of causing bodily harm

Sutter County officials arrested a 23-year-old male, previously reported to be an at-risk missing person, on a warrant for causing serious bodily injury on Sunday night.

According to a spokesperson for the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office, the 23-year-old Sutter County resident got into an altercation at his place of work, McDonald’s, in Yuba City around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. He allegedly left the scene and was reported missing by his family on Sunday morning. Sutter County deputies later located and arrested the 23-year-old around 11 p.m. Sunday while he was walking back to his vehicle, which he left in the area of Highway 99.

The 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of the altercation. He was booked Monday morning in Sutter County jail on a warrant issued by Yuba City for causing serious bodily injury.

The Yuba City Police Department did not immediately respond to request for comment.
