Martin Luther King Jr. march route in Sacramento

An estimated 28,000 people are expected to join one of two marches Monday in Sacramento in honor of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The two routes will converge at the west steps of the state Capitol. The south march will start at Sacramento City College at 9 a.m., while the north march will begin at Grant High School at 8 a.m. Early-rising south marchers can walk an extra mile if they start with a group departing from Oak Park Community Center at 8 a.m.

After rallying at the Capitol, marchers can proceed to a Diversity Expo at the Sacramento Convention Center, where return transportation will be available.
