The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim in Tuesday’s shooting outside a south Sacramento auto-repair shop as Arnulfo Soto, 37.

Soto, an employee of X-pert Auto Repair, was shot at his workplace in the 3000 block of 52nd Avenue, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department said. The incident was reported to the sheriff’s department at 1:30 p.m.

Authorities found Soto with wounds to his upper torso. Soto died on the scene despite lifesaving measures performed by deputies and Sacramento Metro Fire District officials.

The male shooter, who got into a dispute with the victim, remains at large, according to the Sheriff’s Department, which did not provide a description of the suspect.

The Coroner’s Office’s website did not list a city of residence for Soto.
