Fund established to aid 7-year-old girl recovering from burns

A fund has been established to aid a 7-year-old girl who was severely burned when her mother allegedly set her on fire.

The fund was set up in response to requests from the community, according to a Sacramento Police Department news release. Family members, with the assistance of Well Fargo Bank, have set up an account to receive donations, which will go toward the youngster’s recovery.

Donations can be directed to the Help “T” Get Well Fund, Wells Fargo Bank, P.O. Box 5629, Portland, Ore., 97228, Acct. #5653279660. Donations may be mailed to this address, or made in person at any Wells Fargo Bank. Anyone with questions about how to donate can call (800) 869-3557.

Porche Latrice Wright, 27, is accused of pouring gasoline on her daughter and lighting the girl on fire. She was arrested at her home in the 600 block of El Camino Avenue on Saturday afternoon when a family friend called for help after seeing burn marks Wright’s daughter.
