Two people killed in Sutter County after head-on crash on Highway 99, CHP says
Two people were killed in a head-on crash early Sunday on Highway 99 in Sutter County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP’s Yuba-Sutter Office reports that a 2007 BMW was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes when it collided with a 2014 Toyota near Sankey Road shortly after 1 a.m. Both drivers were killed.
The drivers will be identified by the Sutter County Coroner’s Office once their families have been notified.
CHP investigators believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
