Woman hospitalized after shooting on C Street in Sacramento’s River District
A woman was shot Friday morning in Sacramento’s River District and taken to a hospital for her injuries, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 6:20 a.m. in the 1800 block of C Street, Sacramento Police Department spokesman Officer Chad Lewis said, and arrived to locate a woman with at least one gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a hospital and was “conscious, breathing and talking to officers” at the time of transport, Lewis said.
C Street was closed in the area for several hours as detectives investigate the scene. The shooting happened near the Blue Diamond Almonds campus.
No suspect information was available, Lewis said.
