Sacramento deputies take suspect into custody after shooting at Arden Arcade fitness center
Deputies took a suspect into custody Sunday after a shooting injured a man inside a Planet Fitness gym in Arden Arcade, sheriff’s officials said.
The shooting occurred about 3 p.m. at the Planet Fitness gym at 2400 Watt Ave. at the Country Club Plaza shopping center, just south of El Camino Avenue.
The shooting occurred inside the gym and involved two men; one of them was struck by gunfire, said Sgt. Kionna Rowe, a Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.
The victim is expected to recover from his injuries, Rowe said. Deputies later took the suspect into custody. Rowe on Monday said investigators did not have any further updates about the shooting.
The Sheriff’s Office did not release the name of the man taken into custody or what charges he might face.
