Victim sexually assaulted while walking at Davis park. Police search for suspect

Police tape at crime scene

Davis police are searching for a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a female victim Thursday night.

The victim reported Sunday to police her sexual assault last week in Slide Hill Park while walking. A male suspect assaulted her between 7 to 8 p.m., police said online.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a mask that covered his face except for his eyes, police said.

Residents with information about the incident are asked to call the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400 or email policeweb@cityofdavis.org. Anyone with surveillance footage of the park or its adjacent streets are also asked to contact police.

Officers will also conduct additional patrols around city parks in light of the incident, police said.
