Sacramento police announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with a February shooting death of a 20-year-old woman.

Homicide detectives had tracked down and arrested Cotrino Mclin, 29, on Tuesday night, the Sacramento Police Department said in a news release. Officers had said Monday afternoon in a social media post that they were looking for him.

“This arrest underscores the commitment that our detectives and officers exhibit to hold those who victimize our community accountable,” police said.

Officers were called Feb. 25 to apartments on the 4000 block of Taylor Street in the Robla section of North Sacramento after Lashae Mary Harmon was found dead, police said. The 20-year-old died from at least one gunshot wound.

Mclin was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail and was being held without bail on one charge of murder and a parole violation. He’s expected to be arraigned Thursday in Sacramento Superior Court.
