Police tape at crime scene

A student at Antelope High School punched and physically assaulted a teacher Thursday after refusing to follow their directions, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies went about 10:30 a.m. to Antelope High School on Titan Drive after getting reports of a student assaulting a teacher. A 14-year-old pupil refused to follow a teacher’s directions and became upset before the assault, the Sheriff’s Office said in social media post.

Other students attempted to stop the assault, but the 14-year-old pupil then assaulted another student, deputies said online.

The student was cited for battery and released, deputies said.
