A 60-year-old man accused in the shooting death of a Sacramento man last year was arrested in North Carolina, police said.

A shooting erupted just before 3 a.m. Nov. 16 in the Parkway neighborhood on the 3000 block of Shining Star Drive, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Duane Allen Dryden, 40. He was taken to a hospital where he later died Nov. 24 from his wounds, authorities said.

On Monday, police arrested Rayford Nunnelly, 60, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, police said in a Friday news release. He was arrested on suspicion of homicide by the FBI and North Carolina state enforcement agents, police said.

Nunnelly has not yet been extradited to Sacramento. He is in custody at a detention center in Cumberland County, North Carolina as of Friday, according to jail records.
