CHP activates Ebony Alert for missing teen last seen five months ago in Merced
The California Highway Patrol on Monday afternoon activated an Ebony Alert in Merced, Stanislaus, San Joaquin and Sacramento counties for a missing 17-year-old girl who was last seen five months ago.
Cecilia Jones was last seen shorty after 11 a.m. Dec. 14 near North Highway 59 and West Yosemite Avenue in Merced, according to the CHP Ebony Alert. The CHP activated the alert on behalf of the Merced Police Department, and the CHP was notified of her disappearance on Monday.
Jones was described in the alert as 5-foot-2, weighing 106 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweater and gray sweatpants and carrying a black back pack and a black duffel bag.
The CHP asked anyone who spots Jones to call 911.
