Authorities on Tuesday in Ohio arrested a man wanted on suspicion of homicide in the death of a 23-year-old woman found last month in her Sacramento apartment.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Kenneth Wade, 23, of Citrus Heights, who was identified as the suspect in the April 14 homicide, the Sacramento Police Department announced Wednesday afternoon in a social media post.

Wade was wanted on suspicion of homicide in the death of Roneisha Dorthy Monae Howell. Authorities have not released any details about the manner of Howell’s death.

Police said authorities found and arrested Wade in Cincinnati. Wade will later be returned to Sacramento to face charges in Howell’s death. On Wednesday, Wade remained in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

The suspicious death investigation began at Howell’s apartment in 3300 block of W Street in Sacramento’s North Oak Park neighborhood. There, Sacramento Fire Department firefighters called for police after they found Howell dead in the apartment.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation. After the detectives collected evidence at the scene and questioned witnesses, they determined the woman died as a result of homicide.
