Man, 49, arrested and charged with attempted murder in Woodland stabbing
A man was arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing in Woodland that sent another man to the hospital Monday morning.
Thomas Hensley, 49, of Woodland was arrested that afternoon and booked into the Yolo County Jail, the Woodland Police Department announced in a news release Wednesday. Hensley was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Yolo Superior Court and charged with attempted murder, online court records show.
The stabbing took place shortly before 5 a.m. Monday near the intersection of California and West Court streets. The victim was taken to a nearby trauma center, where he underwent surgery. He was expected to survive, according to the Wednesday news release.
The news release said detectives, patrol officers and a homeless outreach street team had helped identify and find Hensley.
