Two injured in shooting at Rio Linda house party, Sacramento sheriff says

Police tape blocks entrance to a convenience store in San Luis Obispo County.

No suspects have been detained after at least two were injured in a shooting Friday night at a house party in Rio Linda, deputies said.

The two injured are expected to survive, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post early Saturday. Deputies in the 12:30 a.m. post said they were still searching the area for additional victims at that time.

Sheriff’s officials initially said three people were shot. Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. Amar Gandhi in an update Saturday morning said one of the three turned out to be unrelated to the incident and did not have a gunshot wound.

The shooting took place in the 6200 block of West Fourth Street late Friday night, the post said.

No information has been released about a suspect or suspects as they remain at large, deputies said.
