Sheriff’s deputies investigating deadly shooting in south Sacramento
Sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday afternoon were investigating a shooting that killed a person in a south Sacramento residential neighborhood.
The shooting was reported in the 5900 block of 39th Street just east of Highway 99. The male was found suffering from gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital where he died later, said Sgt. Amar Gandhi, a spokesperson for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities had not yet confirmed the age of the shooting victim. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release his name after his family has been notified.
