Police say Northern California woman stabbed uncle in family dispute
A man was hospitalized Thursday after police say he was stabbed by his niece during a domestic dispute in Marysville.
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 5 a.m. on the 800 block of Ninth Street, according to a news release by the Police Department. The victim told officers he had been attacked by his niece, who fled before they arrived.
He was treated for injuries described as not life-threatening, police said.
Authorities located the suspect later Thursday morning in Yuba City, where she was taken into custody without incident.
She was booked into the Yuba County Jail on suspicion of attempted homicide and assault with a deadly weapon, though she did not appear Thursday afternoon in the jail logs.
