The Sacramento Police Department arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting last week in South Natomas, police said.

Ray Howard, 27, was arrested on homicide and firearm-related charges, the Police Department announced on social media.

Police received a call on Feb. 20 shortly before 9 p.m. stating that there was a shooting near Domino’s Pizza on West El Camino Avenue.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound, according to Police Department spokesperson Officer Allison Smith. She said the victim was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

He was identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as Teon Darmone Lott, 32, of Sacramento.

Howard was booked Friday into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is ineligible for bail, online jail records show. He is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Sacramento Superior Court.
