One person injured in shooting at West Sacramento house party

One person was shot at a house party in West Sacramento early Sunday morning, according to the West Sacramento Police Department.

The shooting was reported at a house party in the 800 block of Casselman Drive. Officers responded shortly after midnight to reports of gunfire.

Taylor Nelson, a spokesperson for the West Sacramento Police Department, said a man was shot and taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

“He remains under care at the hospital where he is in stable condition,” she said.

Police said the shooting remained under investigation, and no suspect information was immediately available.
