Trash your unused prescription drugs for Take Back Day. What to know in Sacramento
Sacramentans can safely dispose of their expired or unused prescription medicine on Saturday, as a part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The drug overdose epidemic is a public health, public safety and national security threat in the United States, according to the DEA. Take Back Day promotes the disposal of unneeded medication to prevent drug misuse and opioid addiction.
Where can I go?
Multiple sites across the Sacramento region will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday to accept drugs for safe disposal, including:
