11-year-old cat ‘depressed’ after returning to shelter — again. He needs a new home
A senior cat — with a “calm” and “peaceful” personality — is back at an Indiana shelter for a third time.
The 11-year-old cat is “depressed” after his owner’s failing health led to his surrender back to the Humane Society of Hamilton County.
“I know the right home is out there waiting for me, and I can’t let myself give up hope,” the shelter said in a July 7 Facebook post about Beaux.
Beaux came to the shelter in 2012 as a kitten. He was adopted but did not get along with the other pets in the home, the shelter said. So, he went back to the humane society.
Beaux was adopted the following year, according to the post, but has been back at the shelter since April.
A foster home didn’t work out for Beaux either, the post said, because he didn’t get along with the other cat in the home. He gets along with dogs and children, but he isn’t a fan of other cats, according to the shelter.
“Being rejected has not been easy for me,” the shelter said in the Facebook post.
Throughout his various adoptions and homes, Beaux has also been known as Leaf and Leo, the shelter said.
The “handsome” Tabby cat is hoping to find a home that will accept him.
“If you want to change my life for the good, please give me another chance,” the shelter said.
Anyone interested in Beaux is encouraged to apply and visit the shelter in Fishers to meet him.
Fishers is about a 20-mile drive northeast of Indianapolis.
