Water Lantern Festival is coming to Sacramento. How to get your tickets
The Water Lantern Festival is coming to Sacramento this summer.
The family-friendly festival, hosted at Gibson Ranch Regional Park in Rio Linda on June 10, features a scenic view of lit lanterns floating atop the lake, food trucks and music.
Attendees will get a kit to customize their lanterns before launch.
When and where
The lantern festival is on June 10 at Gibson Ranch Regional Park, 8556 Gibson Ranch Park Rd, Elverta.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and ends 10 p.m.
Tickets
Tickets for the festival are on sale now.
Each ticket comes with a lantern kit, marker, drawstring bag, playing cards and conversation cards.
The regular admission price is $35.99, but it ends June 2.
The prices following are “late” and are $49.99. If you get tickets on the day of the event, they are $55.99.
Tickets for kids 7 and under are free but will not come with a lantern kit. Admission for children 8 to 14 years old starts at $12.45
Specials
There’s a Date Night Special where you can get 25% off two adult tickets. It also comes with two kits, cards, one mandala throw and giveaway entries. The special starts at $67.72.
You can also get $2 off your ticket by sharing the event on Facebook and tagging two friends.
What happens to the lanterns?
The lanterns do get picked up from the lake after the event.
According to the festival website, staff members will clean up the area. The lanterns are also made of sustainable material, specifically, rice paper and wood and organizers recycle the LED candles.
