Raiders: Road losing streak ends in Cleveland

An 11-game road losing streak comes to an end in Cleveland as the Raiders hang on against the Browns and win 27-20. Derek Carr has another solid game and veteran Charles Woodson intercepts a pass in the final moments to clinch Oakland’s first win in the Eastern time zone since 2009.

Bay Bridge Series: Giants not done yet

With their first one-run victory in nearly a month, the Giants continue to kindle hopes of a trip to the postseason. The Giants trail the Dodgers by six games with seven to play, but Los Angeles has been driving in reverse. The teams begin a four-game series Monday at AT&T Park.

Saturday night’s playoff loss to LA Galaxy II left the Republic FC faithful in an agitated mood at Bonney Field. The fans vented their frustration on another one of those matches when Republic FC controlled the ball pretty much all night but could not produce a victory.
