2 hospitalized, 1 dead following solo car crash in Carmichael

One person died in a solo vehicle car collision Saturday night in Carmichael, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said Sunday.

Sac Metro Fire spokesperson Captain Mark Nunez said a crew responded to a crash that occurred around 9:51 p.m. Saturday at Dewey Drive and Winding Way.

Four people were in the car. Three were transported to a nearby hospital and one was uninjured and released on scene, Nunez said.

One of the people who was injured was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The incident is under investigation by California Highway Patrol.
