At least 17 new restaurants opened in Roseville over the last 6 months. Here’s the list
Roseville’s dining scene has been expanding, both in quality and sheer quantity of its offerings.
The Placer County city of 147,000 added 17 new restaurants since August 2021, outstripping similarly-sized suburbs around the Sacramento region. And more are still to come.
▪ Amy’s Drive Thru (1119 Galleria Blvd.): Petaluma-based Amy’s Kitchen Inc. became a freezer aisle darling for its vegetarian burritos and power bowls. This new to-go window and patio outside Westfield Galleria has meat-free, mostly-organic burgers, salads and more.

▪ India Oven (1186 Roseville Pkwy.): The sixth location for this local chain replaced Noodles & Co. in the Fountains at Roseville shopping center with dishes such as zafrani jhinga (saffron prawns) and navratan korma (a dried fruit/vegetable/nut curry).
▪ Kiki’s Chicken Place (1565 Eureka Rd.): The local fried chicken chain opened its first Roseville location on Feb. 10, with never-frozen wings, loaded fries, sandwiches and more.
▪ Kitchen 747 (2320 Pleasant Grove Blvd.): You’ll find pizzas, burgers and salads at this west Roseville restaurant and bar, plus 32 beer taps and cocktails like the brown sugar brûlée old fashioned.

▪ MoJoe’s (2300 Pleasant Grove Blvd.): Juli Hilton’s cafe in the new Village Westpark shopping center opened Sept. 22 with breakfast pastries in the morning and Gunther’s Ice Cream in the afternoon.
▪ Pizza Stone (933 Pleasant Grove Blvd., Suite 130): Slices are cheese or pepperoni at this Roseville pizzeria that opened in January, while whole pies include the Rolling Stone (pepperoni, sausage, beef, mushrooms, yellow onions, black olives and green peppers) and the Maui Sunset (honey garlic sauce, ham, bacon, tomatoes, red onions and yes, pineapple).

▪ Shawarma Stackz (1132 Galleria Blvd., Suite 100): This sleek fast-casual halal restaurant opened Dec. 22 with falafel wraps, build-your-own basmati rice bowls, housemade cinnamon pita chips and more. It’s a spinoff of San Diego-based Tahini Authentic Middle Eastern Street Food.
▪ Smashburger (1541 Blue Oaks Blvd., Suite 120): The flat burger chain’s Campus Oaks Town Center restaurant joined locations in Arden Arcade, Elk Grove and Citrus Heights on Dec. 29, with a Howe Bout Arden shopping center outpost to come in 2022.
▪ Stallionz Pizza (1200 Cirby Way): Pizzas like the Stallionz Supreme (chicken, white sauce, mushrooms, red onion and jalapeño slices) or Stallz BBQ (chicken, bacon, barbecue sauce and pineapple) dot the menu at this southeast Roseville restaurant, which opened Sept. 10.
▪ Tandoori Flame (1245 Pleasant Grove Blvd.): Dishes at this sit-down restaurant and catering hub skew North Indian, such as dal makhni or cholle bhature.
▪ Teaspoon (2030 Douglas Blvd., Suite 16): It’s the second area location for this boba cafe, which first opened in downtown Davis before launching across from Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center on Aug. 28.
▪ Teriyaki Town (1060 Pleasant Grove Blvd.): Noodle dishes, teriyaki plates and sushi such as the Roseville Roll (deep fried shrimp and crab inside, topped with salmon, avocado, sweet-and-spicy sauce and tobiko) are among the offerings at this Highland Crossing shopping center restaurant.
