Cousins’ big game can’t prevent road loss to Wizards

Even a monster game by DeMarcus Cousins (36 points and 20 rebounds, both game highs) was not enough to keep the Kings from an overtime loss at Washington. Cousins said going 0 for 3 from the floor and 0 for 2 from the free-throw line in overtime left him ‘sick.’

Notes: Joerger likes ‘equal-opportunity’ offense

Sharing the ball makes a difference for the Kings. They had at least 24 assists in their previous four games entering Monday and went 3-1. They also were 6-2 when they had at least 24 assists. They had 20 against the Wizards in their overtime loss.

Scouting the opponent: 76ers’ losing streak against Raptors stretches to 13

Toronto point guard Kyle Lowry sets a team record by making all six of his 3-point attempts as the Raptors defeat the Philadelphia 76ers 122-95. It was Toronto’s 13th consecutive win over Philadelphia. The Kings visit the 76ers on Wednesday and will need to keep tabs on Robert Covington, who made six 3-pointers and scored 20 points against Toronto.
