Sacramento Police are looking for tips from the community after six people were killed and 12 others wounded in a mass shooting in a downtown Sacramento early Sunday morning.

Tips can be sent to the Sacramento Police Department online. The department on Twitter referenced a video on social media that appeared to show a brawl downtown before gunshots rang out. Police asked for more videos.

Police Chief Kathy Lester said the shooting was difficult to comprehend.

“We are asking for the public’s help,” she said. “If anyone saw anything, has video or can provide any information to the police department, we are asking for their assistance.”

It was not immediately clear if the victims were targeted, or how many shooters were involved but police confirmed there was multiple suspects.

Police tweeted that there was a filmed altercation before the shooting, and asked community members to submit related videos to the police department.

An information center has also been set up at City Hall, 10th and I streets, for relatives.
