A day after a mass shooting in downtown Sacramento left six dead and 12 others injured early Sunday morning, the roads surrounding the scene near 10th and K streets are open.
Police shut down L, J and K between 9 and 13th streets after the shooting, which took place just after 2 a.m. Officers cleared crime tape and evidence markers Monday morning.
The area in which the shooting occurred leads to the Golden 1 Center and is blocks from the California Capitol and Capitol Park. It is also home to bars, restaurants and nightclubs.
The Sacramento Regional Transit service also resumed service for the Blue Line, and light rail lines. Blue, Gold and Green returned to a regular operating schedule, according to an RT tweet.
Police arrested a 26-year-old “related suspect” in the shooting on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
