Broadway Sacramento
Broadway Sacramento has scheduled performances of “Wicked” at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The shows will go on as scheduled and the venue said it is safe to gather, but the area is impacted by the shooting and it may affect parking, according to the box office’s automated voice message system.
Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings play the Golden State Warriors at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Golden 1 Center. The game is still scheduled on all online listings on the team’s website and Golden 1 Center’s page.
The King’s released the following statement just after 9:30 a.m. Sunday:
“Our community grieves as we mourn those lost today senselessly killed by gun violence. Our prayers are with those who have been wounded and heart goes out to all the families in anguish affected by this devastating act.”
Clubs
The area surrounding the shooting is still an active crime scene as of 1:15 p.m. Sunday. Several clubs and music venues operate in the area, including London Sacramento at 1009 10th St., which bills itself as a “multi-level boutique nightclub & ultra lounge” on its website. At least two of the victims had gone to London the night of the shooting.
The Dive Bar, which contains a live mermaid tank, is nearby, along with the Social Nightclub. Both are on the section of K Street closed for the investigation.
Additionally, Mix Downtown, a nightclub at 1525 L Street, posted on Instagram that it would be closed Sunday night.
