Sacramento police said City Hall is open as an information center for the families of victims of the downtown mass shooting Sunday.

Six people are dead and 12 were injured in the shooting, which took place just after 2 a.m. near the 1000 block of K Street.

City staff and a police will be at City Hall to assist, the department said on Twitter.

City Hall is at 915 I St., roughly three blocks from the scene of the shooting. Police closed L, K and J streets between 9 and 13th streets for the investigation.
