More than 7,000 homes and businesses in West Sacramento were briefly without power Tuesday afternoon after an outage was triggered by the extreme heat wave boiling California.
Pacific Gas & Electric reported the outage to state officials just before 3 p.m. and said 7,116 customers were affected by the interruption. Power was restored before 6 p.m., according to the utility.
