Sacramento area had 10 new eateries in October, from Korean barbecue to Indian pizza

The Sacramento area saw at least 10 new restaurants, ranging from coffee shops to breweries and Indian fusion pizza parlors, launch throughout October.

Chains and mom-and-pop eateries alike opened new homes in the capital region as far north as Yuba City. One coffee shop is located in the Sutter County city, with Davis also seeing one new eatery in October. Sacramento, Folsom, Roseville and Arden Arcade each had two new restaurants open last month.

Openings

Full Circle Coffee House (725 Plumas St. in Yuba City): Full Circle opened in the heart of downtown Yuba City at the start of October, launching straight into a seasonal fall drink and pastry menu, which includes the staple pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin muffins and a caramel apple Lotus energy drink.

Intuition Coffee & Wine (1728 21st St. in Sacramento): The toned-down, minimalist coffee house opened on 21st Street in mid-October. After a relatively quiet opening, the midtown coffee shop was immediately thrust into controversy, with an Instagram post alleging its owner sexually assaulted women. Intuition’s founders responded with their own social media post, denying the claims and saying they are pursuing legal action.

Knee Deep Brewing (2793 East Bidwell St., Suite 100 in Folsom): An Auburn-based craft brewery expanded its footprint south, opening a taproom in the Broadstone Plaza shopping complex on Oct. 25. The brewing company makes dozens of year-round and seasonal beverages, with a particular focus on various India Pale Ales.

At the same time, four eateries went out of business during October, including two spots in Roseville, one in Sacramento and one in Arden Arcade.
